Maui in the Underworld.

We have finally completed our digital book - 6 weeks after starting.
The Process:
1. Create the pictures using Kidpix
2. Save the Kidpix pictures as jpegs
3. Type the text into a Powerpoint page
4. Insert the jpeg into the correct page
5. Resize the text & alter the colour to suit the pictures

Once the class had completed these steps I then put all the slides together, saved them as jpegs and put them into a movie.
* Parents - if you would like a copy of the movie in wmv format (larger & clearer) please let me know.

Portrait Sketching.

We are learning how to …..
1. Sketch a portrait of a person putting the facial features in the correct position and in the correct proportion.

2. Sketch a portrait of a person by first sketching a foundation of their facial features and then adding the detail on top.

Some of our sketches are displayed in the school foyer and the rest can be seen in our class. Here a couple of examples. These examples are our third sketches - our first two attempts can be seen in class.

Follow this link below to see an amazing portrait sketch.
